This training will review how to create nurturing and responsive relationships with students, families, and co-workers within an early education classroom.

The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) will present on childhood trauma and the effects it has on child development.

Teachers, administrators, and other early childcare staff will learn about Prevent, Teach, Reinforce framework to support addressing challenging behaviors in the classroom.

Participants will learn strategies about teaching social-emotional skills by discussing culturally responsive practices, including families in social-emotional learning, and understanding the stages of learning new skills.

Participants will learn about friendship skills (taking turns, sharing, etc.) and emotional literacy skills (how to identify an emotion) young preschool students need in order to be successful in their social-emotional development. Participants will also learn how to teach these skills through a wide range of students.

Participants will train on best practices for inclusive lesson planning to support children ages birth to 5 years old.

This training will review different strategies to teach math and science skills through play opportunities. Participants will learn different activities for different age groups.

This training will review strategies for teachers to practice self-care, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Attendees will learn about how to engage young students, birth to five years old, in read-aloud opportunities.

Participants will learn the different stages of language development for students birth to five years old. The training will also cover best practices for fostering language development for all ages as well.

Directors are encouraged to attend to learn about different strategies and suggestions in creating a positive workplace environment. Participants will also be able to collaborate with one another, sharing ideas on what they currently use, what works, and what they have tried in the past that hasn’t worked.

This training will continue to review best practices for responding to challenging behaviors and provide a general overview of creating individualized behavior support plans.
